
Two Lansing police officers come to a CJ class to talk about their experiences working with K9s.
Norm Naimy is from Southfield, Michigan. He is a fifteen year veteran of the Lansing City Police Department, 9 of which he spent as a K9 handler. Prior to Lansing, he worked part time for the Chocolay Township Police Department and 2 years at the Marquette City Police Department. Norm has been a K9 trainer for the last 5 years. He is a 1992 graduate of NMU with a degree in criminal justice.
Mark MacAleer is a veteran, 8 years in the USMC and is from Lansing, Michigan. He has been with the Lansing Police Department for thirteen years, 9 of which he spent as a K9 handler. He is a member of the Special Tactics and Rescue Team. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in CJ. He has been a K9 trainer for 5 years.
