Advising Advising
Students are encouraged to meet with their advisers on a regular basis to discuss course registration, career options and opportunities to get experience in the field before graduation. More info.
Jam for Love Fun for a Cause
More than 50 competitors participated in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)’s “Jam for Love” event this semester, raising about $2,200 for Voices for Youth, a Marquette area non-profit that assists young homeless teens and adults.  The event featured snowboard and ski competitions at Marquette Mountain.  PRSSA is also helping Voices of Youth this year with other fundraising efforts, such as a three-on-three basketball tournament.
Outstanding Graduating Senior

Travis Moscinski was selected as the Communication and Performance Studies Department’s Outstanding Graduating Senior. He was recognized at the NMU Honors Banquet. Over the past four years, Moscinski has been very involved with the NMU theatre program. He has performed lead roles in 11 mainstage productions and 10 roles in Black Box studio productions. He has also served as a construction technician for nearly every show produced during that time. On top of all this, he has maintained a 3.78 GPA and remained an excellent example for aspiring theatre students.

Don’t miss “The Tempest,” on April 21-25, the final production at Forest Roberts Theatre for the 2008-09 “Brave New World” season. Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” is the story of Prospero, the magician, who lives with his daughter on an enchanted island peopled by monsters and sprites. This production is also be the final one directed by Dr.  James Panowski, who is retiring after 32 years as the theatre’s director.
