On October 14, 2009, Northern Michigan University hosted a CEO Roundtable which covered the opportunities for growth and development in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the 2007-2015 economy.

In 2006, Northern Michigan University charged the Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship to be the repository for recent economic research related to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
