The Stock Market Game

The Stock Market Game™- A ten-week simulation. The Stock Market Game is designed to help you understand the stock market, business, and economic decision-making. With a hypothetical $100,000 you invest in common stocks on the New York, American, and NASDAQ stock exchanges. You research stocks, make your own business decisions, and execute the trades. The simulation helps you develop an understanding of how the stock market works and its role in today’s economy. While participating in the SMG, you learn the basic economic and business principles of our market economy. You will also understand the importance of current and political events and their effect on the economy. In association with the Securities Industry Association and its Foundation for Economic Education, MCEE is the exclusive SMG provider in Michigan. The Michigan Council on Economic Education offers materials to support SMG during the seminar. Plus, additional materials are available on the SMG website to registered participants.
