The 22nd annual Fall Fest will be held on Monday, Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.  in the Academic Mall (area between JXJ/WS/NSF/LRC).  Featuring over 50 local businesses, 60+ student organizations, 20 volunteer agencies, FREE Jilbert's Ice Cream, and much more!  More

THE SECOND CITY

The Second City presents comedy that is both hilarious and thought-provoking, smart and silly, sophisticated and wild.  Brought to campus by Northern Arts & Entertainment, they will be performing on Friday & Saturday, Sept. 12 & 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Forest Roberts Theatre.

Golden Dragon Acrobat

THE GOLDEN DRAGON ACROBATS

The Golden Dragon Acrobats return to NMU on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Berry Events Center.  Presented as part of the Family Weekend activities, ticket information will be available shortly.

The 21st Annual Leadership Recognition Banquet was held on Thursday, April 17, in the Great Lakes Rooms.  Over 500 student leaders and advisers were in attendance, and student organization awards were presented, including:

  • Diversity Program/Project of the Year:  Promoters for Non-Violent Peace Resolution - Invisible Children

  • Community Service Award - Relay for Life

  • Project of the Year - Women for Women: Operation Save 2nd Base

  • Program of the Year - Northern Entrepreneurship Organization:  Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour

  • Organization of the Year (University or Activity Fee Funded) - WUPX

  • Organization of the Year - Northern Michigan Constructors

  • Adviser of the Year - Wally Niebauer (PRSSA)
