A Continued Experience

"As a second year SLFP student, usually, my time with my mentor would already be over and done with. But I was lucky to have been paired with someone who I have created such a wonderful bond with, that my mentor, Nheena Weyer Ittner, decided to keep me around another year!" commented Alysa Diebolt, Kiwi Block.

It is not uncommon for SLFP'ers to continue to get together with their mentors during their second year of the program and throughout their lives. Most pairs make a lasting friendship. Alysa and Nheena e-mail regularly and get together when their busy schedules permit.

"I am so happy that I have been paired with someone that I truly enjoy spending time with, who not only understands my busy schedule but is willing to work around it, and give me something fun to look forward to all the time," said Alysa.
