WHAT IS FAMILY WEEKEND?
Family Weekend is a time for you to feel a part of your student’s college experience at Northern Michigan University. The schedule of events includes a variety of activities for your family to enjoy and it also allows for informal time with your son or daughter.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO PARTICIPATE IN FAMILY WEEKEND?
• Contact a local motel of your choice if you require overnight accommodations (www.marquettecountry.org) or call the Marquette Country Convention & Visitors Bureau (906-228-7749). This should be done early!
• Purchase tickets for ticketed events as soon as you decide which activities you would like to participate in. Tickets can be obtained through the NMU EZ Ticket Office (http://www.nmu.edu/tickets, by telephone at 906-227-1032, or in person at the Superior Dome, TCF Bank in the University Center, or at the Forest Roberts Theatre). Football, Tailgate Party, and Golden Dragon Acrobat tickets are available NOW and can be purchased at anytime.

interactive improv experience of ComedySportz. Founded in Milwaukee in the spring of 1984, ComedySportz has grown to over 20 cities throughout the U.S. from New York to Los Angeles, along with teams in England and Ireland. Unlike “standup comedy” in which a performer tells pre-planned jokes to the audience, improvisational comedy involves a group of performers making up scenes and playing games on the spot based on audience suggestions. ComedySportz is great for all ages with typical audiences including everyone from children to college students to parents to grandparents. ComedySportz will be performing at 8 p.m. in Jamrich Hall, Room 102. Admission is free.
