Designed by and for Native American students to provide opportunities for social and cultural interaction, building a 'Native community' on campus, and to provide service learning projects to obtain leadership and citizenship skills while promoting academic progress and success.
The Native American Student Empowerment Initiative is presented by the NMU Center for Native American Studies and funded by grants from the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.
