Gay/Lesbian

The Multicultural Education and Resource Center (MERC) provides services to and a safe space for students who self-identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender. Students who may be questioning their sexual identity are also welcome.

NMU is equipped with 53 Unisex/Handicapped bathrooms. Click here to view their locations.

OUTlook

MERC associate director Shirley Brozzo serves as the adviser for the student group OUTlook. OUTlook meetings are held at 9 p.m in Pioneer B in the University Center.

ALLIES

MERC associate director Shirley Brozzo and health promotion specialist Lenny Shible serve as facilitators for the faculty/staff group ALLIES.
