| Qualifications: | Must be a current student at Northern Michigan University, with at least 1 credit. Should have a technical understanding of audio routing, compression, and modulation. | |||
| Duties: | The Chief Engineer is responsible for any and all repairs of station equipment. Equipment that falls into this category includes – Transmitter Rack(s), Audio Equipment Rack(s), Production equipment, Touchscreen, Automation System, Digital board, All Remote equipment, and any other equipment not listed here that is owned by WUPX. The Engineer is to be available for all Radio X functions that involve remote equipment if needed. The Engineer should also be on call 24 hours a day for emergency repair if need be.
The Engineer is responsible for the setup, layout, and maintenance of all equipment in the broadcast studio including, but not limited to, Telcom and Computer Equipment. | |||
