This important information can be sent to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Since the information is e-mailed to you, you can access the JOBOPPS list from anywhere. As long as you can access your e-mail, you can get information from JOBOPPS.
Note that not all jobs sent to NMU Career Services for posting are advertised on the JOBOPPS list. For a more complete listing of the positions which Career Services advertises, view the Job Vacancy Bulletins published by Career Services.
How to Sign Up
All you need is an e-mail address. While you can use your NMU e-mail address, you may want to use a personal e-mail address so you can continue to receive the JOBOPPS e-mails after you graduate and your NMU e-mail account is deactivated.
Instead of using your casual e-mail address, consider creating a more professional address for the interview process. JaneJohn@gmail.com will probably receive more inquiries from employers than mcgoo413@yahoo.com.
Send an e-mail to majordomo@mailshare.nmu.edu and type "subscribe jobopps" in the body of your e-mail window. Make sure that you disable any signature functions in your e-mail system before sending the subscribe message.
After you submit your request, you will receive two messages. The first will tell you that your subscription request has been received. The second will tell you that your subscription has been activated and includes instructions on how to use the list.
To unsubscribe, send an e-mail with "unsubscribe jobopps" in the subject line.
