Internships are an excellent way to enhance your in-class learning with hands-on, experiential learning with a company or organization that relates directly to your career goals.
While NMU Career Services does not award academic credit for internships earned (you need to work with your academic department in order to earn credit towards your degree), the center does post internship opportunities with companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations. To begin your search for an internship, click on one of the links below. Once you find an internship in which you're interested, contact your academic department to explore the possibility of earning academic credit.

| Qualifications: | Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for the internship program, the position of interest and possess the following qualifications: Be a current college junior, senior or recent graduate (within one year) Be available for the entire length of the internship Possess the necessary skills, aptitude, and interest for the position Be available for a personal interview. The candidate must be a currently enrolled college student (junior or senior) or a recent college graduate (within one year), possessing the necessary aptitude and appropriate industry-related skills. The department will outline one or more special projects that the intern is to complete during his or her internship. Presentation of the complete project(s) is due at the end of the internship. The internship must have a definitive start and end date and last no longer than nine months. All interns are on an "at will" basis and may be terminated at any time for any reason. Internships are unpaid. All internships are subject to the prior review and approval of human resources. | |||

| Duties: | Olympia Entertainment internships are available in Operations, Marketing, Public Relations, New Media, Sales, Group Sales, Community Relations, and Creative Services. Program Goals & Objectives To provide a positive learning environment for college students or recent graduates where they will have the opportunity to gain real life work experiences in their chosen field. To allow interns to accomplish meaningful work projects related to the company's business and strategic goals. To develop qualified, trained and talented individuals prepared to enter the workforce with a strong, professional foundation.
