Internships are an excellent way to enhance your in-class learning with hands-on, experiential learning with a company or organization that relates directly to your career goals.
While NMU Career Services does not award academic credit for internships earned (you need to work with your academic department in order to earn credit towards your degree), the center does post internship opportunities with companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations. To begin your search for an internship, click on one of the links below. Once you find an internship in which you're interested, contact your academic department to explore the possibility of earning academic credit.

| Duties: | University Directories is the nation’s premier campus publishing solutions provider and a
leader in on-campus and mobile marketing. With 35 years of collegiate publishing
experience University Directories provides over 700 students every year with the
opportunity to gain real-world experience in sales, marketing, and communication. Since
2005 University Directories has more than doubled in size and expanded its offerings with
the addition of DistroMobile, a text messaging marketing and communication service and
University Directories On Campus, a grass roots marketing provider.
As a leader in collegiate marketing, University Directories offers a paid sales internship to
college students who are self-motivated, energetic, organized, and have the desire to
succeed. As an account representative, you will sell and market advertising and
communication services in one of our nationwide college markets. The internship
begins with an intense expense-paid training on the campus of the University of North
Carolina – Chapel Hill. Following training you will embark on a summer-long
internship back in your college or home market, where you will develop and improve
the needed skills to succeed in today’s business world. Throughout the summer you
will work with local business owners to target their advertising to the college
community and provide them with a well-rounded marketing strategy. The
experience and skills you gain during the summer will make you stand out from the
rest in today’s over-crowded job market. University Directories has thirteen Career
