Annual Events

NMU Career Services hosts a number of events and recruitment activities each year.  The following highlights the general events held each year.  Check with Career Services about schedule details.

Recruiting at NMU

Employers are welcome to recruit at NMU anytime between mid-September and the end of April.  So that the Career Services staff can fill your interview day, we request at least four weeks notice in advance of your recruiting visit.

Job Fairs and Expos

Career Services provides a number of job fairs and career expos during the academic year.  Here are the events held annually:

Fall Job Fair and Career Expo (October)

• Ideal for employers looking for all majors.
• Invitations to attend mailed in June.

Construction and Technology Job Fair (October)

• Ideal for employers recruiting primarily construction management, HVAC, electronic technology, etc.
• Invitations to attend mailed in June.

Science Career Expo (November)

• Ideal for employers recruiting students in the physical sciences for employment and internships.
• Invitations to attend mailed in September.

Summer Employment Job Fair (February)

• Ideal for employers in the Upper Peninsula and upper Midwest who are hiring students for summer employment.
• Invitations to attend mailed in early December.

Upper Great Lakes Collegiate Job Fair (March)

• Ideal for employers looking for all majors.
• Invitations to attend mailed in November.
• Open to all college students in the Upper Peninsula, not just NMU graduates.
