University business hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. during the fall and winter semesters (late August through early May) and 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. during the summer (early May through late August). Northern Michigan University is located in the Eastern time zone.
The hours of the NMU and Central Upper Peninsula Archives are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., closed for lunch from noon until 1 p.m.
The University Records Center is open by appointment only.
The Northern Michigan University and Central Upper Peninsula Archives is located in room 126 of the Learning Resources Center (off the concourse on the first level of the building, below the library), which is accessible from the parking lot adjoining the academic mall or from the entrance off of Tracy Avenue near Center Street (see campus map)
