Whether you are in town for a new student orientation session, or here for a scheduled campus visit, summer in Marquette is a great time to do a little exploring. With plenty of public access to the lakeshore, both sandy beaches and rocky coastlines are waiting for you. Want to do a little hiking or biking? We have hundreds of acres of state and federal forest land within minutes of town. In town, at the Mattson Lower Harbor park, you can take in a concert or one of our many summer festivals, or explore the historic downtown area.
