Professional/personal biography: BA in communications, Michigan State University, 2003. Upon graduation, I worked in admissions at the University of Detroit Mercy recruiting in the Detroit Public Schools area for one year. In 2004, I worked as an admissions counselor for Michigan State University recruiting in southwest Michigan, Atlanta and Chicago while pursuing a master's in higher education administration. I am currently a senior admissions counselor for NMU, recruiting in southeast Michigan and I absolutely love it! I’m working on my master’s degree from MSU.
Most memorable college experience: My most memorable college experience was in May 2003 when I walked across the stage in front of thousands of people holding my diploma with a big smile on my face showing everyone I graduated from college!
Favorite Marquette activity: Eating stir fry at the MarketPlace.
Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone entering college: The job market is very competitive and education beyond high school is in high demand. Students should take the initiative and focus on adapting to this fast-paced environment, beginning with advanced education.
