Supporting NMU Through Advocacy

Northern Michigan University is committed to high-quality programming and an outstanding student experience. Nothing will change that; it is our top priority. Decreased state funding for the past three years, however, makes this goal more and more challenging. 

It is Northern’s belief that adequate funding for education needs to be among the state’s top priorities in order for Michigan to rise as a world leader in the fast-changing, service-oriented and technology-driven marketplace of the 21st century.

You can help by contacting legislators and telling them why NMU is important to you and your family.  The Northern story is a powerful one.  Collectively, our voices are heard and make a difference.
