Mike is a coordinator of Academic Support Service and a freshman seminar instructor who joined the Academic and Career Advisement Center staff in January of 2002. He is a native of Ishpeming, who currently resides in Negaunee Township with his wife Ann and two of her three children. Michael has four adult children who live in Texas, New York, and Champion and Redford, Mich. He is also a grandfather to 10 granddaughters and one grandson. He has earned a bachelor's degree in education, a master's in education, as well as a master's degree in counseling, all from NMU. Mike is a retired high school vocational welding teacher and counselor. In his spare time, he enjoys building and working on household projects, as well as anything to do with family activities. In the past eight years, in fact, he has built eight houses. He currently teaches UN 100: Freshman Seminar and TE 350: Methods and Materials in Industrial Education.
